Louise Taylor is a UK based photographer who has worked and travelled widely. Her work focuses on rural issues, people and place, and is rooted in a strong connection to the land. Taylor is on the Management Board of Jack Drum Arts, UK. She is a founding member of arts collective Wideyed, and has taken part in prominent photography festivals such as FORMAT, Fotofestiwal Lodz, and Mois de la Photo-OFF. She has received awards and bursaries, participated in international arts residencies (including the Horse and Art Research Program, Hungary) and has exhibited internationally. Awards include Independent on Sunday Travel Photographer, North East Photography Network (NEPN)/Side Gallery Development Bursary and most recently the professional development award DEVELOP, organized by NEPN in collaboration with photography curator and mentor Marc Prüst.
