Independence Day Celebrations Cancelled

Ucross, Wyoming, July 1, 2012   –   Due to continued high temperatures, warnings about serious fire dangers, and the recent fires in the area, Ucross Foundation has announced that it is cancelling the Independence Day Celebration scheduled for Tuesday, July 3.  This is the first time in the Foundation’s history (over 30 years) that the popular community event has had to be canceled.  Ucross Foundation President Sharon Dynak states, “We have been monitoring the unusual weather situation over the past few days and have concluded the risks are just too great.  It is a big disappointment, but it’s best to err on the side of public safety and safety of the land.”  All of the day’s events have been canceled.  For further information, contact Ucross at (307) 737-2291 or email
