2013 The Ford Family Foundation Fellowship for Oregon Artists

Ucross Foundation Residency Program

Eligibility

The residencies are open to Oregon mid-career visual artists who meet the following criteria:

  • be a practicing visual artist currently producing works of art;
  • be a full-time resident of Oregon for at least 36 months prior to the application deadline and remain a resident through the duration of the grant period;
  • maintain Oregon as their primary residence if they participate in an out-of-state residency program or they will not qualify;
  • be 30 years of age or older at the time of application;
  • evidence, through appropriate documentation, a sustained level of commitment to his/her medium with seven (7) or more years of active professional practice, and
  • not be enrolled in a degree-seeking program, either part-time or full-time at the time of application or during the successive grant period.

Deadline

Application deadline to participate in the program in 2013 is Monday, October 1.  Submittals must be post-marked by that date or they cannot be accepted.   There is a $40 application fee. Please use the regular Ucross Foundation application and guidelines which can be downloaded here.  (Note on your application that you are applying for The Ford Family Foundation Fellowship.)  For this opportunity only, applicants will be able to request residencies during either Spring 2013 (late February through mid-June) or Fall 2013 (August through mid-December).  The October 1 deadline covers all of 2013.

Selection & Notification Process
