Closing Reception at Ucross Foundation Art Gallery
Ucross, Wyoming – April 14, 2017 – Ucross Foundation will hold a closing reception for the current gallery exhibition, Views from Oregon: Sixteen Artists, on Saturday, April 22 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. The reception will also celebrate the new publication of Oregon Artists at Work. The 76-page book features the work of 29 Oregon artists (16 of whom are featured in the gallery exhibit) and pays tribute to a collaboration between Ucross Foundation, Djerassi Artist Resident Program (in Woodside, CA) and The Ford Family Foundation of Roseburg, OR, that has now spanned more than four years. All guests at the reception will receive a complimentary copy of the book. The exhibition closes on May 12.
Views from Oregon is a multidisciplinary exhibition presenting a wide range of photography, painting, sculpture and mixed media. It includes forty-eight works by sixteen accomplished Oregon artists, all of whom spent time in residence at Ucross Foundation between 2013 and 2016. Many of the works in the exhibition were created while in residence at Ucross. The featured artists are:

The exhibition is supported in part by BNSF Railway Foundation and the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming State Legislature. The publication is supported by The Ford Family Foundation. The reception is open to the public at no charge and will include light refreshments. The Ucross Foundation Art Gallery is located ½ mile east of the intersection of Highways 14 and 16 East in Ucross.
