Dick Davis
Sheridan, WY
Though a native of Colorado, Dick quickly adopted Wyoming as his home state soon after his arrival in 1968 to join the law practice of Henry A. Burgess and continues today as of counsel to the successor firm, Davis and Cannon. Outside of the practice, he was able to pursue a strong interest in theater both as a participant in many community productions, and through Tandem Productions, a 501 (C)(3) organization created with his wife, Tami, to provide an educational experience for children in theater which they continued every summer for twenty-six years. They also were major season sponsors of the WYO Theater, served as interim directors and Dick served as a board member and chair for several years. Through his ranching experience, Dick developed a strong interest in grazing practices and conservation and served as a board member and chair of the WY state chapter of the Nature Conservancy.

Believing in the importance of community, Dick has also served as the chair of Northern Wyoming Community College District and Foundation, the chair of Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Hospital Foundation; a board member of Sheridan Area Community Foundation Advisory Board, Past President (interim executive director) of the WYO Theater; Trustee and past president of the University of Wyoming. On the professional side, Dick served as president of the WY Bar Assn. 1989-90, state membership chair of the American Bar Association, the American Judicature Society, and a former state chair and life fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and Wyoming State Bar Delegate to the American Bar Association. Dick and Tami are very excited to be back living full time in Sheridan and Dick is thrilled to join the Ucross Board.
