Named in honor of our historic ranch, the Big Red Society helps Ucross provide the nation's most exciting emerging and established artists with uninterrupted time, studio space, and living accommodations, as well as the unparalleled experience of the High Plains. The Big Red Society also helps us serve as responsible stewards of our 20,000-acre ranch and remain a relevant, meaningful resource for our greater community.
With an annual gift of $1,000 or more, you will join a special group of Ucross supporters who are dedicated to the dynamic role Wyoming plays in the nation's arts and culture. At the same time, you will support our mission and our long-term sustainability. Your gift will elevate the arts across the state of Wyoming by supporting Ucross's unique mix of artist-centric public events, exhibitions, author readings, workshops, and performances.
In its first four decades, Ucross has become one of the top artist residencies in the country. Work supported, nurtured, and inspired by time in Ucross, Wyoming, has gone on to be read, seen, or heard by millions of people around the world. Ucross Fellows have won Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, Pulitzer Prizes, and National Book Awards, among many other honors.
