RAYMOND PLANK CENTER

Located in the Park at Ucross, the Raymond Plank Center is a unique space created to honor the legacy of our founder. Raymond Plank was a World War II veteran, business leader, philanthropist, and stalwart individualist. He envisioned Ucross to provide a meeting and working place that would be useful for artists-in-residence, the staff and board, and groups in the community — a multi-disciplinary laboratory for creative thinking. Today, the Raymond Plank Center hosts art exhibitions, educational programs, conferences, and special events, including the beloved annual Ucross Community Christmas Celebration.

VISIT

The Raymond Plank Center, open only for special events or by request, is located at the intersection of Highways 14 and 16 in Ucross (directions here). To inquire about using the space, please contact (307) 737-2291 or info@ucross.org.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Ucross Foundation acknowledges with respect that it is situated on the aboriginal land of several Indigenous communities, including the Cheyenne, Crow, and Lakota nations. Indigenous people continue to live in this area and practice their teachings and lifeways. Today, this region remains an important place for many Indigenous peoples. As a Wyoming institution, we recognize and respect this historical context and are working to build reciprocal relationships with the Native nations on whose lands we are situated. In partial fulfillment of that commitment, Ucross established Fellowships for Native American Visual Artists in 2017 and Native American Writers in 2020.
