Ucross is located on a working cattle ranch on the High Plains of Wyoming near the Bighorn Mountains, the easternmost range of the Rockies. We are twenty-seven miles southeast of Sheridan and seventeen miles northeast of Buffalo. Sheridan County Airport is served by connecting flights to and from Denver, Colorado (via United). Ucross staff picks up arriving artists at the airport. Car rentals are available for those who prefer to have their own transportation.
The entrance to our headquarters, where the Ucross Art Gallery and Ranch House offices are located, is one-half mile east of the intersection of Highways 14 and 16. Find directions here.
