NARRATIVES OF THE POSSIBLE: ARTISTS' BOOKS
Curated by Mark E. Ritchie
August 22 to October 27, 2021 | Raymond Plank Center, by appointment only
Explore the first book art show at Ucross. Curator Mark E. Ritchie invites visitors to ask, "What makes a book?" Is it the physical object or the narrative it contains? This traveling exhibition features classic books, scrolls and accordion structures, books with multiple sequence experiences, books that open in unexpected ways, and books that are comprised of text, images and objects that engage with the sculptural aspects of being a book — but may not look like a traditional book.
Narratives of the Possible: Artists' Books was coordinated by Laramie County Library System, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Mark E. Ritchie, Professor of Printmaking at the University of Wyoming and a Ucross alumnus, curated the exhibition. Learn more here.
