Dorie McCullough Lawson is the author of the novel Along Comes a Stranger and a children’s book, Tex. Her first book was Posterity: Letters of Great Americans to Their Children, an anthology of the words and wisdom of sixty-eight Americans, including Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Ansel Adams, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. Dorie has a BA in history from Middlebury College. She and her husband, acclaimed artist T. Allen Lawson, have five children and divide their time between Maine and Sheridan, Wyoming.
