GIVINGTUESDAY
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 11 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year, we ask you to support Ucross on GivingTuesday. Your tax-deductible gift, at any amount, will help us cross the finish line and meet our goal for our 40th Anniversary Campaign.
Each year, we provide the 115+ artists-in-residence with a private studio, living accommodations, meals by a professional chef, a stipend, and staff support, as well as cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary connections with their peers. And each artist's month-long residency costs us $12,000.
Your donation will directly support our efforts to support:

Every donation counts. Every donation matters. Every gift will help us nurture artists, foster talent, remain responsible stewards of the land, and serve our community. Thank you.

- THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Our acclaimed artist residency program has provided uninterrupted time, private studio space, living accommodations, and the experience of the majestic High Plains to more than 2,600 writers, visual and interdisciplinary artists, composers, choreographers, and performers.
The 40th Anniversary Campaign included the construction of a state-of-the-art dance studio, as well as enhancements to our residency program. When we meet our campaign goal, we also will be able to increase artist stipends (vital to working artists) and update studio equipment, lighting, and furnishings. - OUR LAND
We are located on a 20,000-acre ranch, which covers rolling native grasslands, "clinker" hills and knobby buttes, and riparian habitat and wetlands. The property remains a working cattle ranch, leased by the Apache Foundation, and is managed holistically with a focus on responsible stewardship of the land.
Our ranch needs constant maintenance and support. Our next big project is the creation of a living snow fence, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy and Sheridan County Conservation District, which includes the planting of hundreds of trees.
- THE ARTS IN THE COMMUNITY
We provide our regional community with free access to world-class gallery exhibitions, performances, artist talks, workshops, and other annual events, from the winter 11th annual Community Christmas Celebration to the summer Ucross Arts Festival. In addition to our events that our open to the public, we partner with organizations such as the Wyoming Girls School, Sheridan College, and Sheridan County School District 2 to connect our artists with their students in small, meaningful groups.
The 40th Anniversary Campaign featured the major renovation of the Ucross Art Gallery, allowing us to amplify our featured alumni and introduce new artists and their work to our community.
Support in our campaign will allow us to continue to develop our community programming in 2024 and beyond.
